Bruker Lumos II Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Microscope

Bruker Lumos II is a stand-alone Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) microscope with ATR, transmission, and reflection microscopy. Chemical Engineering has utilized attenuated total reflection ATR-IR a great deal in the study of polymers and epoxy allowing them to look at changes in various samples. Petroleum Engineering has applied the mapping/imaging feature to look at changes within a shale sample.
